2 vs 4 weeks of inpatient rounding

This single center study of inpatient attendings on academic services did not find any differences in patient’s 30 day unplanned revisits (2 versus 4 weeks of rounding), but 2 weeks of rounding was associated with lower rates of the attending’s ability to evaluate their students and residents, but also found lower rates of burnout and emotional exhaustion (compared to 4 weeks) (abstract).
