CAM-ICU specific but not sensitive in ICU patients

In this large cohort of 10 ICUs, the CAM-ICU delirium screening tool (performed by teams of 3 delirium experts) was very specific (98%) but not very sensitive (47%) so will miss a large number of patients, and will unfortunately hamper early detection in ICU patients (abstract)
