In this large prospective cohort of patients with suspected PE, all 4 of the common diagnostic decision rules (Well’s, simplified Well’s, Geneva, simplified Geneva) performed equally well in ruling out PE in concert with Ddimer testing. Since they all perform equally well, the simplified rules should be used for evaluating the pre-test probability of PE (abstract)
