Hospitalist programs associated with higher quality

This analysis linked Hospital Quality Alliance data (for composite measures of quality of care in AMI, CHF, and pneumonia) to American Hospital Association data (for presence of hospitalists) and found higher quality measures in hospitals with hospitalists, compared to those without (abstract). This adds to existing literature linking hospitalists to higher hospital-level quality measures.
