Hospitalizations due to skin/soft tissue infections

In this national database, researchers found that hospital admits for skin/soft tissue infections increased 29% from 2000-2004 (while pneumonia admissions did not change during that same period of time). This likely reflects the parallel increase in CA-MRSA prevalence (abstract).
