Medication prescription complexity affects compliance

In this large population based cohort, researchers found the amount of prescription complexity (# of medications, prescribers, pharmacies, pharmacy visits) significantly predicted 3 month compliance. At the time of hospital discharge, we need to be mindful of the prescription complexity, to assure greater levels of compliance (abstract)
