The ACC/AHA has issued new guidelines on the use of PCI and CABG in patients with CAD. The guidelines stress intervening only for symptomatic disease, and the need for a “heart team” approach to determine need for PCI vs CABG in patients with unprotected left main disease or complicated CAD.
