Peri-operative statins reduce cardiac events

In this meta-analysis of 15 RCTs, peri-operative statins reduced the risk of atrial fibrillation after cardiac surgery by 44%, reduced the risk of MI by 47%, and reduced the LOS, but not not the rate of mortality or ICU LOS.
