Quinolones and tendinitis/rupture

This large retrospective analysis found the use of quinolone antibiotics doubled the risk of tendon rupture and quadrupled the risk of tendonitis; risk factors included use of steroids, age >60, and BMI<30. Although the mechanism is still not clear, the association is (abstract).
