Time to antibiotics not associated with mortality in CAP

In this large database analysis, hospital level performance (by quartiles) on the CMS core measure of time to first antibiotic was not associated with overall mortality. This core measure remains controversial in it’s risk (eg over treatment with antibiotics) and benefits (abstract)
